During the tough economic conditions of 2017 our client felt the impact on their sales. Even with lucrative monetary incentive offerings staff simply did not engage with the business goals and kept on missing sales targets. Wouldn’t it been satisfying if offering more rewards would immediately inspire and motivate staff?
Variable pay is the answer, but how?
The value of the incentives were almost too lucrative, yet still the sales lagged behind. It would be great if the compensation plan remained self funding while the quality and quantity standards were not dropped, wouldn’t you agree?

Within 3 months change happened, with 6 months significant change took over. Positive change with a momentum that carried through all the quarters without showing any signs of petering off. The number of staff qualifying for bonuses has almost doubled.
Repeat success in action…
No change in the standards, requirements or bonus values were made. What we did was to change both the pay frequency and payment method. To make it more compelling we then added the celebration narrative of each individual achievement story, the option to choose to save the bonus as well as choices in receiving payment of the bonus. The results speak for themselves, doesn’t it?
