In business, it is important to set goals, be they short-term, medium-term or long-term. They help you to measure the success of your business. But setting them is one thing, they also need to be published to those working on them, and trackable and accessible so that everyone can strive towards achieving the goal. This module is designed for tracking and working towards Wildly Important Goals (WIGs), or large long term goals, with the idea of breaking them up into manageable chunks, or tasks. The theory (4DX) being that if you focus on smaller goal-related tasks today, the rest will follow and you will end up achieving your long-term goal. For example, you may be given a massive goal like employing 20 new staff members by the end of the year – you might not know where to start and may end up either putting it off or going off-track. With this module, we enable you to set and track monthly goal-specific tasks (such as interviewing appropriate candidates) via our lead indicator. We also provide you with a way of tracking weekly tasks (via our commitments tool), such as reading through CVs and making a selection. All of the tasks included are linked to the end goal and our software tracks your performance over time and lets you know whether or not you (and/or your employees) are on track at any point in time.
A KPI (or Key Performance Indicator) is a metric used by a business to evaluate factors crucial to the success of that business. This tool allows you to track your current position and progress on certain KPI’s in relation to the end goal.
Level 3 plans
This useful tool allows you to take your big end goal, to break it down into the behaviours needed to achieve the goal, then break those behaviours down into the tasks that you will perform. The tool will help you to plan and track every part of this process and will keep you informed as to your current position and progress towards your end goal.
To achieve business success and your end goals, you need to keep a balanced scorecard relating to specific criteria, such as the Financial perspective, Customer perspective, Learning and growth, and Innovation. This tool will allow you to track your progress in each of these realms.
4DX Wildly Important Goals
This module is based on the 4DX Theory, designed by Sean Covey, which places an emphasis on focussing on one or two specific goals, completing them properly, rather than spreading yourself too thin across many goals and not completing them well. This tool allows you to track your progress on the specific goals you have set, every step of the way.
